I have a viper alarm with remote start on a manual. Any ideas or reviews here? I would just have to make sure its in neutral. The cake is a lie. From what the installer was telling me is I actually have to leave my spare key in the bypass box so the remote start will work. Just wanted to know if it works well I’ve read somewhere that if you don’t need to step on the clutch to start your car then the installer messed up on the bypass cause the bypass should work ONLY when remote starting.

The module then “knows” that you left the car, and its 689n neutral. The module ensures that the end user of the system performs certain security steps, such as leaving the vehicle in neutral gear, before exiting with intent to remotely start the vehicle later.

If the doors are opened anytime before its remote started it will not allow a remote start. Everyone I de that has “bypassed” a neutral safety to do a rem start on a manual has hopped the car either into another car or a building.

Any truth to this? Please see installation and user guides for details. Did you install it?

You must follow recommended safety guidelines in installation and operation instructions. Its not worth the risk. Im only interested in the range an aftermarket unit can give, and the added features too.
